PLYMOUTH YOUNG CONTEMPORARY OPEN

Effervescent and Peninsula Arts warmly invite you to the private view of the inaugural Plymouth Young Contemporary Open (PYCO), a contemporary art event showcasing the incredible talent of local children and young people in Plymouth.

Following on from the success of the international Plymouth Contemporary Open, young people aged 4 – 30 were invited to submit work across all contemporary art genres including photography, installation, sculpture, performance, film, visual arts and more in response to the theme GROW.

The winning entries were selected by a judging panel made up of representatives from partner organisations across the city and will be announced at the preview.

These entries have been curated into a dual site show in the Peninsula Arts and Radiant galleries that will celebrate the creativity, skill, ideas and the developing aspirations and ambition of younger people in the city.
